www.andrewsullivan.com - this is a great blog on politics and world events, its also one of the most visited blogs on the subject. andrew sullivan was the editor of the new republic, is a contributing editor to TIME magazine and appears on numerous TV news programs (bill maher, for one). i started reading the blog about 2 years ago and turned my dad and will on to him soon after. when i told will about starting this blog, we joked that andrew sullivan would link to it one day.
the bored reader asks: "who cares?"
well, last night, cath and i were walking through adams morgan (my hood) when i saw a bald guy riding a mountain bike whiz by us. the bald biker parked not far from us. knowing that andrew is bald and rides his bike around DC, i dragged cath with her limp and plantar fasciatis along. as we came up next to him, i said "andrew?" ... turns out, it was some one else.
just kidding. it was him, we introduced ourselves, he was a really nice guy and talked to us for a few minutes even though he was clearly in a hurry. i told him i was a fan as was my dad (former marine) and brother (marine in iraq). we lamented the current state of things and i told him about this blog, will's musings and such. he said he'd love to hear from will and so i'm going to fwd some of will's posts over there.
the prospect of will's thoughts reaching and influencing thousands of people is pretty exciting ... so, bro, please bump your writings above a 5th grade level and let's get on with it :)
