The weekly update for 8/23/2004

Greetings cousin Will and a fine hello to all you other bloggers.

It is a crisp 72 in the great city of New York. Chaos is about to ensue when an estimated gazillion people swarm on the city for the RNC. Word has it that most New Yorkers have been given the choice to work from home to avoid the melee. I for one, will be.

And now onto the update.

The number 1 movie of the week was The Exorcist-The Beginning. Accumulating a modest $18million at the box office. word on the street is it's a steaming pile. So best to avoid.

Frost will become less and less common across much of the world as global warming accelerates, U.S. researchers reported on Wednesday.

The Banana Split celebrates it's 100 year anniversary today.

In Olympic news. the dream team seem to be finally getting their act together. in a 102-94 victory against Spain in the quarterfinals. along with the impressive win, Stephon Marbury shook off a woeful shooting slump to set an American Olympic record with 31 points.

USA are leading the medal count with 77 medals in total.

and the odd links of the week are
