The Weekly Update 8/2/2004
Greetings to one and all. particularly coozin Will. Here is your weekly update.
It is a balmy 84 in NEw YOrk. With a chance of thundershowers later. Yippee!
The number one movie of the week was M Knight Shyamalan's "The Village" which delivered a modest $50.8 million dollars. Word of mouth has not been good, but i saw it this weekend and besides the ending, i liked it a lot. Solid performances through out.
U2's new album tentatively titled "Vertigo" has gone missing. Well, a copy of it has. According to the band's Web Site, the CD disappeared from a recording studio in Nice, where U2 were doing a photo-shoot in preparation for the release of their first album in four years.
Now the band are saying that if their songs do appear on the web, they will release the album early on iTunes. Hooray! I've heard one of the supposed new songs and it does sound rather dancy.
That will be on one of the cd's Will. Keep an ear out.
Security has been bumped up considerably this week in New York due to credible information obtained by Homeland Security on possible attack on Financial Institutions, here, DC and New Jersey.
Apple and Pixar CEO underwent surgery this weekend to have a rare cancerous tumor removed. The operations appears to have been a success.
Australian actor Eric Bana, star of films including "The Hulk" and "Troy", is the surprise new choice to take over as James Bond, a report said.
