note from will

will sent this saturday morning ... again, he seems to be in good spirits, which puts me in good spirits ... not sure what "squadrons spaces on the line" indicates, perhaps dad or charece could enlighten ...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i'll be able to check it (the blog - mjf) periodically i think, bandwidth here is tight, this is the quickest venue for me checking things.  you can upload these emails and edit as you see fit.  The trip over here was a sac stretch, but once we get settled in here things will be good.  The squadron who we are relieving have done a good job of maintaining their spaces both the work ones and the living ones.  So we are falling into a good thing.  We have the best squadron spaces on the line and have some high speed computer gear that no other squadron has either, so we are pretty pleased thus far.  Unlike last time, the AC is working real well.  The power and water come from a somewhat classified source (that's the only problem with this venue is my inability to comment on specifics, too bad you don't have your secret clearance yet), but it's been real reliable so far, which is surprising given the current state of the rest of the country's electric and water problems.  Not sure what will happen in the fall and winter, but I'd rather be cold than sweating, of course cold sweating isn't good either.  Chow is quite good also.  Life at Ali Al Salem in Kuwait last year was the best preparation for this because everything there sucked beyond comprehension and life couldn't get much worse (for an aviator), it could get much worse for a grunt though.  The tempo of operations has slowed since the Transfer of Power here, starting to put the ICDC (Iraqi Civil Defense Corps) err something like that out in front more, but you can see major operations still take place at times, ie Ar Ramadi two nights ago, and precision bombing in Fallujah.  anyways, enough babbling for now.  hope this finds you well in DC, take care and i'll write more later,
